Artifact reference

Choose the relevant browser and viewport before interpreting an artifact. A responsive preview made by resizing historical DOM is not a recording at the new size. Truthful coverage at another size requires another execution.

Hosted access

Review artifacts are private evidence in Cloudflare R2, with review metadata in D1. The hosted viewer checks workspace access before serving evidence. Links are also subject to expiration, deletion, and consistency with the selected target. Signing in does not grant access to every review. If an artifact is unavailable, check the workspace, review, and target before requesting another run. The troubleshooting guide covers common cases.

Local access

Local PR reviews write to .diffraction/local-reviews/ in the Diffraction checkout. Local artifact routes are restricted to loopback development access and are disabled in production. A hosted deployment cannot read recordings from your local filesystem.

Evidence and diagnostics

PostHog supports product analytics and correlated diagnostics. It is not the system of record or customer review evidence store. Brand styling must not tint, blur, distort, or retouch customer recordings. Retention duration and repository privacy controls remain owner decisions. This documentation does not promise a retention period that has not been configured.
