Diffraction reviews UI-affecting changes to web applications. It plans user journeys from the changed code and your project context, runs them in browsers, and returns findings with recorded evidence. A problem found during a review is an aberration: unexpected behavior or appearance grounded in an expectation and an observed result.

Start a review

Hosted GitHub reviews have been exercised on production fixtures. The CLI, commit/local-source workflow, and MCP operations are implemented, but their complete authenticated production paths still have verification gaps. MCP self-service consent also has an unresolved setup dependency. See current changes and availability.

What a review covers

  • Context-aware browser journeys with a separate execution for each selected browser and viewport.
  • Historical DOM replay, screenshots, steps, traces, and console/network evidence.
  • Evidence-linked findings, reproduction results, and explicit analysis coverage.
  • Optional Pro diagnostics for accessibility, performance, SEO, and link health; contextual video analysis and exact base/head comparisons.
  • Selected existing Playwright tests, with their own results, videos, and traces.
The default target matrix is Chromium at desktop (1440 × 900) and mobile (390 × 844). Repository configuration can select Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit. A selected target is covered only when its execution and required evidence complete.

Configure your workspace

Start at app.diffraction.sh. Repos contains each repository’s Overview, Checks, Tests, and Context settings. Reviews contains run history and evidence. Analytics summarizes recorded activity. Team, Settings, and Account manage membership, organization policy, and billing. Diffraction targets web applications. Native mobile application testing, arbitrary database provisioning, and full coverage of every possible user journey are outside the current supported workflow.
